XRF Material Verification & PMI Testing
In addition to our precision machining services, IPA Metalworks offers fast, non-destructive material verification and Positive Material Identification (PMI) using our calibrated Thermo Scientific Niton XRF analyzer.
We test customer-supplied stock, parts, components, scrap, or unknown material. We clean a small test area, take multiple readings, and issue a certificate reporting the primary composition.
We specialize in aluminum alloys (6061, 7075), steels, stainless steels, titanium, and other industrial/exotic metals. Precious metal screening available on request.
